Beside the world-well-known petrified woods the Yellow Cat area offers also the mineralogically most interesting pseudomorphs of agate after (probably mostly) barite. The ballshaped baryte aggregates are crystallized partially well. They formed in the sediments and were replaced in consequence by agate whereby the original form and even the internal structure remained.
