Collectors of petrified wood and agate-collectors do like this rock-material booth. Its skin is showing all the details petrified wood is doing. If you polish one slab, it shows sometimes a perfect agate. This typ of petrified wood is callled “limbcast” too.

The agate pattern is very often composed by fortfication-banding and “waterlevel-agate”. Most agates are coloured intensively red or orange. But sometimes a pitch-black shows up too. Rare companion of the limbcasts are petriefied branches or little snails.
