This highly desiderated jasper was mined at the Mesquital Mine in Jaslisco. In the moment mining operations are stopped and its nearly impossible to get first class rough material.

This first class of jasper is presenting the “Egg-shell-pattern”, an agglomeration of orbicular structures in the center of the specimen. Jaspers that are similar to the Royal Imperial Jasper are the Willow Creek Jasper, the Morrissonite Jasper and the famous Bruneau Jasper from Idaho.

Royal Imperial Jasper does occur in various colours, such as brown, red intensively green and even in a scary turquoise-colour. Inhabitants of the finding area are calling these nodules “Ojito´s”.(“sweethearts”).
