Agate-findings on the fields around Bexbach are the evidence for agate-transports trough the small river Blies from northern areas into the south. Transportation in this direction happened in a much smaller amount than the transportation via the River Mosel and the River Nahe to the North into the River Rhine. The agates of booth directions are from the same deposits

The agates are occuring as rounded pebbles together with petrified wood in old gravel-beds of the small river Blies on fields south of Bexbach.
