Ausweiler is an extincted village in the atillery range area. This location is not a historical finding-point of  for agates. However the agate collector Schuhmach from Ruschberg made finds of small nodules with pretty pattern here into the 1970ies years still regularly. This finding-location is presented here by specimen of the collection Schuhmacher from the local history museum Baumholder. This means that possibly some of the local allocations could be wrong because of mislabeling. (more information about this problem at the local history museum page).

It is absolutely forbidden to collect any minerals at this place, because this location is a part of the artillery range area. Militarypolice is controling even this abandoned area regulary.
