In the Wiley Well region several well-known places of discovery for Thundereggs are situated. Beside the “Black Agate Thunderegg bed” and “Beal´s Well Thunderegg bed”  Rainey´s Well is a famous location for thundereggs. Here the agates are of completely different coloredness. Also the different pattern of the matrix is evident between the places of discovery. The formation of so-called “Turkey Tail Thundereggs” is very remarkable. They show a pattern similarly to the feathers of the tail of a turkey.
