The  northern rim of the Wiesbachtal also offers a variety of small outcrops, where agate nodules up to a size of 10 cm ( in the average 40 mm) can be found. Beside fortfication agates occur here also mossy agate, as well as so-called "waterlevel-agates". However, the most nodules in this region are filled with carbonates. If agatewere found they are usually grey. If they are showing colors, they are mostly finely banded white and light brown. Only very rarely are red or yellow shades. In addition to nodules, also vein-structures, in which red pseudomorphs after now soluted minerals show up can be found.
