In the gravel pit Weilerswist beside grey to yellowish agate also heavily pigmented pieces are occuring. These hues were still not available at the place of their origin, only staying in the iron-rich sediment has changed the colour of these stones. In addition to red and yellow tones black shades are showing up, which are very typical for this gravel pit ( 4 ).
