Although close by the Baker Egg mine situated and actually even to the same lava stream belonging, Thundereggs from the torpedo beds are showing special characteristics. They got their name from their stretched form, similarly to a cigar or evenly a torpedo. In their inside they show  macroscopically crystallized quartz (also sceptered quartz crystals came from this place of discovery). Besides these thundereggs are very colorful and are showing contrasting patterns.
