home / agates worldwide / Europe / Germany / Southwestern Part / River Nahe Region / Steinhardt

The location Steinhardt is very well known for its fossils. They occur in baryte-concretions of miocene age.

Near to this location a little amygdaloite deposit does exist. From this place are coming some nice but little vein agates and a very interesting jasper. The pattern of this rock remains at little flowers in red and yellowish colours.
