The quarry in Kreimbach is a mineral collectors dream: mineralisations in veins of a kuselitic hostrock are offering Prehnite, Natrolite, Pektolite, Chalkopyrite u.v.a.m. in beautiful formations The special mineralogical preciousness of this quarry represents however Greenockite-crystals in a size, which exceed even those of the classical discovery site Bishopton in Scotland : up to 2,5 cm large pyramidal formed diamond-shining yellow crystals.

The agates of this discovery site represent vein fillings, which show such chroma only rarely like the here illustrated .

The admission to the quarry is at present still permitted to collectors, if they can be registered in the business office.
