In the year 2005 it came to smaller rock crashes from a rock monolith, which is standing near the former Spritzenhaus in Oberstein. It turned out to probably this piece of rock does not belong to any owner (neither city nor German Bahn AG explained themselves responsable for the damaged cars).

Within the range of this monolith a small very nodule-rich amygdaloite was opened  while the clean-up operations. Agates from this locality are showing a beautiful spherulitical structure. They are colorful in reddish and brownish hues. Aside of fortification-agate they are showing not parallel banded chalcedony, so called “cloud-agate”. A single find remained an amethyste-geode.
