Since 2008 agates from the region Charente-Maritimes are offered. These are findings from the fields around the village of Saintes. They occur in a sediment (a soft and porous limestone) and show outwardly similarities with Argentine agates. On the inside these formations are usually hollow, only a thin agate seam is showing up.
