In the eastern part of the region Fife, near Saint Andrews, the agate-finding location Eastsands is situated. Similar beaches in the whole southeastern scottish area are offering beach-agates (e.g. pebbles) too.
An unique specimen with intensively colours an high contrast is presented here. It belongs to the collection of the Scottish National Museums.
More informations about scottish agates are given in Dr.H.G. Macpherson´s book “agates” (published by the British Museum (Natural History) and the National Museums of Scotland).
