Path of Condie is a famous but classical locastion for fine banded and intensively coloured agates south-southwest of Perth. Only the banks of small rivers are offering agate-finding-possibillities today, because the farmers of this area don´t allow to enter their land for agate-collecting.

More informations about scottish agates are given in Dr.H.G. Macpherson´s book “agates” (published by the British Museum (Natural History) and the National Museums of Scotland).
