In Panama agate occurrences were opened during the building of the Panama Canal. During the time of control of the channel by american soldiers also many specimen of this material were shipped into the USA. In Europe this material is rather rarely. The material is very heterogeneous, since it originates from many different places of discovery along the channel route. Beside beautiful fortification- agates occur also mossy-, tube- and eye-agates.
