Paint Rock Agates are occuring in Alabama and in Tennessee. The find region around Trenton in the Paint Rock Valley in Alabama lies in the proximity of the border to Tennessee. The Paint Rock Agates occur here in sedimentary limestones as nodules. They are here scattered over large surfaces and are superficially callected. The Paint Rock agates from here are showing very beautiful colours in yellow, red and orange, but the formation of fortification-agate is very rare.
