Between Windischleuba and Pähnitz a small agate occurrence in a phorphyrite (only about a 60 m²) is leading smaller agate formations and jasper-veins. Typical specimen of this place of discovery show several small agates in a bright host rock. Desired pattern-features in these smaller agates are awesome trained spherulithes. Larger agate formations are very seldom reaching sizes up to 150 mm.
Further data to the place of discovery are given from R. Haake, “agates collect in Germany, part 1” page 71 (Bode publishing house, 2000)
