The Amesborn is a recreation-area near to a  little fountain and is located between Güdesweiler and Steinberg, at the foot of the Leistberg mountain near to Oberthal. A hard banded rhyolite can be found here by browsing trough the forest. Due to its hardness the Rhyolite is polishable.
