The polish origin for fine lithophysae is Novy Koziol. Polish collectors are finding here in a porphyric rock nice star-shaped agate-formations. Much rarer are ring-shaped formations, so called “Atoll-Agates”. Typically colours are all shades of brown and yellowish or reddish tones. Sometimes collectors are able to find pseudomorphic formations after carbonates like e.g. aragonite. spherulitical formations and so called “water-level-agates”. Lithophysae from Novy Koziol are reaching sizes up to a diameter of one and a half feet.
