Around the township of Nova Paka are several agate-deposits situated. Besides the agates, collectors have the possibility to collect at Nova Paka nicely plant-fossils, e.g. petrified wood. An interesting presentation of all the treasures of this area is shown at the local mineralogigal museum.

Very intensively colored agates do occur at the deposit Na Rovna. Very interesting is at Na Rovna the occurence of diametral banded chalcedony-quartz-interlayers - a phenomenon that is known from Morocco or Leitzweiler near Freisen too. Nice litlle agate-nodules are found on the neighboured Levin Hill.
