From the area of Newport awesome black agates are known. Very interesting are nodules that are showing both colored and uncolored zones. Sagenite-agates with pseudomorphous formations from chalcedony after needle-like crystals can be found too. Nearly the whole Pazific-coast of Oregon is a finding-location for for “Beach Pebbles” - waterworn small specimen of agate in different variations and colours, jaspers and petrified wood.
