A brecciated tiger´s eye, which is embedded partially in a chalcedonian matrix, is having a large popularity on the gem stone market.

Its formation is similarly to that of the tiger´s eye from South Africa. The mineral krokydolithe is partly or replaced completely by quartz. In the pietersite however three colors (blue yellow and red) can occur, where there is with the natural tiger ´seye only two (yellow and blue). The structure of the material is besides livelier. The occurrences are unfortunately mined out.
