In the Mueglitztal gravel of the Oberschlottwitzer agate-vein  was for many years gathered by the local agate-collectors. Therefore the finding situation is also rather contemplative in this little valley.

This situation is changing only if flood situations rinse covered pebble layers upward. An almost catastrophic surge, flooding some bridges and houses away, happened on 29 June 2001. From the subsequent findings the specimen shown here are originated.
