“...Allen's Slip is a very small vertical band of grey coloured clay found on on Mt Somers Station. It is about one metre wide and 30 metres long and contains a layer of small agates with predominant black and white or black and clear bandings. Often these agates show tiny black and white eyes on their surface. The slip is exposed on a steepish hillside and culminates at a small stream where at certain times of the year, it becomes a deer wallow. It is named after Allen Wells, husband of Hettie Feith Wells, who discovered "Hetties Slip" back in the 1960's...”
