Madero agates are originating from the Sonora desert in the north of Chihuahua. They show a weak banding and beside a grey-white basic colour often violet to lilac tones in the center. Into the banding diskoidal aggregates are integrated., which can possibly represent a modification of “Holospheruliths”. A differentiated description of their mechanism of formation does not exist so far.
