In close proximity to Lokken Verk a big jasper-vein is included in ophiolithes. Its iron-content ( in form of the mineral hematite ) reaches up to 15 per cent. In the environment of Lokken Verk also pebbles of jasper can be found, which were enriched alluvial by the water.
