Very familiar to the german agate-collectors are the colourfull agates from the Katharinental. On the other side of the mountain separated by a several hundred meters thick rock is the agate deposit of Langheckerhof.

The agates from this location are similar to those from the Katharinian Valley, but the colours they are showing are more brownish and their fortification banding is more delicate then those from Katharinian Valley.

This deposit was excavated by some very engaged agate-collectors with a caterpillar. Today there are no more possibilities to collect agates without heavy equipment.
