Agates found in the region of Doubravice originate from the Kyje Quarry. Tiome by time agate-collectors can still make some little findings in this closed little Quarry (18, 19, 20). (pers. corr. H. Bethke).
Kyje Quarry is famous among collectors for its so called “composite-agates”. Typical for these agates is the paragenesis of pseudomorphs after carbonates, not weathered carbonates and fortification-banded chalcedony.
The agates of this deposit show different colours (yellow, red and blue) and a fine lined pattern.
