Earth movements were given only a short time the possibility for finding agate nodules up to a size of 120 mm in Hintertiefenbach. They were usually oblong formed. The agates showed beautiful ffinelined pattern and remind a little of agates from the  Juchem quarry in the Fischbachtal valley.
