So far no agate collector could give me a more precise discovery site than “... indian part of the Himalaya ...” for these beautiful snail fossils. These are up to 10 cm large, perfectly preserved agatized snail fossils.

Inside these snails agate is unfortunately only weakly yellowish or reddish toned . Often these fossils in their inside accommodate further fossilie relics, among other things further snails.

Johann Zenz has originating from the same site fossil snails in his collection, filled with opaque white, rarely slightly purple agate . As another extra feature these snails show mossy-like agate formations.
