The petrified wood of the Henry Mountains are a further example of beautiful fossils from Utah. The find region is appropriate for approximately 100 kilometer southwest the place of discovery of the Yellow Cat petrified wood. Beginning north of Hanksville it extends toward the south up to the border of Arizona. The characteristic colors of the petrified woods are yellow and black, yet also red and brown tones occur. Now and then also a nicely colored fortification-agate shows up in the petrified wood.
