Greenhaw is well-known as place of discovery for beautiful Tennessee Paint´Rock agates since the end of the Second World War. The sedimentary formed agates, which occur here, are banded and are showing very often a good transparency. They show however in the center of the nodules sometimes fortification agate. The pseudomorphic formations after aragonite, which the specimen presented here is showing, are very rare for this occurrence.
