You can't often find agates in Costa Rica. Together with the Panamanian agate site make the Costa Rican occurrence of agates one of the largest deposits for agates on the world. They sometimes show a fine harness, are however usually only greyish blue in colour. Weathering can lead to white, porcelain-like patterns.
