Around the village Gau-Bickelheim are old agate-bearing gravel-beds situated. The agate-peebles are all edge-smoothed. The agates are showing different awesome colours: intensively red, black and yellow. Rare findings are agates of the “Skolecite-agate-typus” (see also Flonheim) and of the “water-level-type”. Not rare are findings of peebles that are composed of macro-crystallized Quarz in the rim-area and a nice fortification-agates in the center. Besides agate petrified wood in little chunks is occuring in the gravel-beds too.
