The Frieda Thundereggs were discovered some time ago 13 Miles south of  Maupin, Oregon at the Deschutes River. The place of discovery was originally a perlite mine in the proximity of a small station called Dant. There were no more thundereggs mined at the moment. The Frieda bed belongs to the Warm Springs location.
