home / agates worldwide / Europe / Faroy Islands / Eysteroy

The autonomous Faroy Islands, located between Iceland and Scotland, are a well-known finding location point of zeolite minerals. Chalcedony and agates can be found here also. However, because they are usually weakly banded and are not showing intensively colors they are not in the center of attention. Fortification-agates occur here also as agates of gravitational banded type ("waterlevel agates").
