On the fields around Erbes-Buedesheim, a village near to the famous agate-locality of Nack, small agate-nodules (up to 4 cm diameter) can be found. They are showing red, orange, blue and yellow colour-tones. Secondary colorization along fractures seems to be typical for this area. Very interesting is the formation of intensively coloured irregular curved tubes in colorless chalcedony. Only seldom “water-level-agates” can be found.  Mossy like agates do occur at this place too.
