Into the late 1980iger years took place canal construction work the ditch from Eckersweiler to Berschweiler following. Only in one place, in which nowadays some fish cultures are, plentiful finds could be made by agate nodules in sediments. Primary occurrences were not touched. The agate nodules found thereare showing many typical regional characteristics. They were characterised however opposite surface findings by the frequent occurrence of green mossy agates.
