In the former baryte pit Clarashall bluish gray Chalcedony beside beautiful baryte crystals did occur. Here is shown a specimen with wormlike Chalcedony curls, which are crusted over by small quartz crystals and a second specimen of the same kind of formation, composed of baryte crystals and small yellowish quartz crystals.
The pit was famous also for the occurrence of manganese minerals and cinnabarite. Now and then also a specimen could be saved here, which was showing beside barite also jasper and agate . Nice cabochons can be get cut out of such marvbelous material (3, 4, 5, 6).
