The thunderegg shown here originates from the Kribbs Claim in the Steens Mountains near Burns. This deposit is associated with rhyolite flows of the Pike Creek Formation at the base of the Steen´s Mountain. Because of that  this finding-location is called Pike´s Creek sometimes. The thundereggs found here are very similar to the thundereggs from Buchanan.
