This as  “Bumble Bee Jasper” sold gemstone-material is called in its finding area near Garut in western Java “Batu Badar Blerang” (“Fumarolic jasper”). Changing the name was done for smarter trading this material on the international market. The original name is giving information about the formation of this material, which is gathered in the proximity of current volcanic activities in the area by Garut. The material is not silicified. It represents rather a carbonatic vein, that is colored “… by inclusions of sulfur ...” (?). The polishing ability of the material is well, its hardness weak.

There are similarities to the mustard-agate from Sarawak.
