On the fields around mountain Berglangebach usually already strongly wheathered agates can be found. This is recognizable from its opacity and the colorization in pastels. For Berglangenbach also small black banded nodules are typical.

In the collection of Mr. Emil Schumacher - at the moment stored in the old major-building of Baumholder - several nice and enormous vein-agate specimen (up to 30cm in length) are included (1, 2, 3). They were found via excavations for house-buildings in the 1970ies.
