home / agates worldwide / Europe / Scotland / Ballindean

The agate-finding-localities around Ballindean Farm are no longer used as fields - so the finding-situation for the famous fine banded agates is very bad.

Agates from ballindean are showing nicely colour-combinations in red, orange and white.

More informations about scottish agates are given in Dr.H.G. Macpherson´s book “agates” (published by the British Museum (Natural History) and the National Museums of Scotland).
