Rancho Los Aparejos is located approximately three miles north of Rancho El Agate, the former Rancho Derramadero. In the 1950s some pits were handdug into the Rancho El Agate andesite. The exterior rind and the fine and distinct banding is very close to fine Coyamitos.

Nothing is known about mining in the last decades, the Rancho El Agate andesite is known as very dense.
