The Alex McDonald Ranch is near Ashwood, while the Joe McDonald Ranch is north of Madras and next to the Priday (Richardson’s) Ranch.  At the Alex McDonald Ranch,the collector can find “green eggs & ham” thundereggs which often have green or pink common opal centers.  There is also blue angel wing chalcedony and petrified wood.
