Ochs ranch: This ranch used to allow collecting by supervised groups of people. This ranch is located very near to Ashwood in Central Oregon, and includes the Polka Dot agate beds. As far as I know, collecting is no longer allowed, except the Polka Dot agate may still be purchased at the mine, and possibly still collected by arrangements with the owners. Some of the beds located within the ranch are Pony Butte, which produced outstanding mossy agate thundereggs.
