Schmuecke at the Rennsteig is a further finding-location for agates in “Porphyrkugeln”(Thundereggs), here also called “Schneekopfkugeln”. The agate inside the porphyric globes (Lithophysae) is usually light brown and white colored. Beside adehesive caused banding (“fortification agate”) also regularly gravitational caused flat-parallel banding (“Uruguay agate”) is  showing up.
