In close proximity to Delphi the so-called “Flowertube Agate”  is originated. The material shows very beautiful fortification banding and interesting flower-like inclusions. However the “Flowertube Agate” is not a genuine agate (consisting of quartz ) but a carbonatic formation. Its low hardness is evident. However the material accepts a fine polish and produces spectacular specimen.
